What Is It? 10 cups, 2 ping pong balls, first to make all cups wins.
Shoot for ball: Three count and shoot on 3. Rotate players shooting and first to
make it gets ball first.
Rules
1. Elbow must stay behind the end of the table when throwing
2. If the ball bounces back on the table and the throwing team retrieves it, the player who
initially threw that ball gets a second shot. This shot must be thrown behind the back.
3. No defense until the ball hits the cup or table. Once contact with either is made, the ball may
be caught or swatted away.
5. If a ball is bounced in attempt to get a cup, the ball may be blocked. If the ball goes in the
cup, this counts as 2 cups being removed. The second cup removed is chosen by the
defending team.
6. If a cup is knocked over in attempt to play defense, that cup is removed.
7. If both players make their shots in the same turn, the balls are returned to the throwing team.
8. After a cup is made, the cup is removed. If the cup is not removed before the second player
throws and the second player makes the same cup, then the game is over and the throwing
team wins. The throwing team may throw simultaneously in attempt to accomplish this.
9. Only 1 re-rack per team per game. A re-rack can only be made at the beginning of a team’s
turn. A re-rack may not be made during the middle of a turn including if a team makes both
shots and the balls are returned. A re-rack may not be made during redemption or during the
post redemption game. A re-rack may be made in the post redemption game if the team had
not previously re-racked. Examples of a re-rack are a diamond or square for 4 cups or a
straight line or triangle for 3 cups. A re-rack of any type is acceptable and may be made with
any amount of cups remaining.
10. A game is over when one team eliminates all of the other team’s cups and the other team
fails at redeeming themselves in redemption. A game is also ended when a team makes both
shots in the same cup in one turn.
11. Redemption: A team has not won until the other team has an attempt at redemption. The
redemption includes the losing team having a final attempt at eliminating the final cups. If
more than one cup remains, the losing team can shoot until they miss. In the case that two
cups remain, a player can bounce the ball to eliminate both cups. Each player gets a shot. If a
team redeems themselves, then 3 cups are placed back on the table for each team. Only one
redemption per team each game.
